Addy Award Winner and Top 5 Finalist for Doritos' Crash the Superbowl competition.
THE CHALLENGE
The Light Monoliths provide a sculptural lighting experience that can be deployed for various musical events. Otherworldly rectilinear forms seemingly float above painted, reclaimed mannequins using a 3D printed attachment which creates a base to house electronic equipment. The 360° array of LED bars utilize AI to translate a musical input into different light patterns with input prompts from users such as color, intensity, and pattern pre-sets. The installation creates a pulsating drive of light that radiates throughout their environment in tandem with the soundscapes.
THE APPROACH
Collaborated with experimental designer Andrew McCormack on an immersive DJ installation, supporting the project from concept to execution. I managed production logistics, helped with lighting setup. Throughout the 90-minute set, I operated as the audio technician, light operator, cinematographer, and post production.
